Francisco Ramos

Actor/Comedian Francisco Ramos is the voice of the Lead Marmoset in the movie RIO with Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jesse Eisenberg, and George Lopez. He has also appeared regularly on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show. Ramos is the new wave of the Latino community of the United States. Originally from Venezuela, Francisco moved to Washington D.C. in 1994. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2004 with a double major of Finance and International Business. However, after a short-lived desk job, Francisco realized that his true love was comedy. Francisco moved to Los Angeles in 2006, and with just one year into stand-up, he was selected to perform at the Latino Laugh Festival 2007 and the 2007 California Comedy Festival. That same year he started working at the World Famous Comedy Store on the Sunset Boulevard. It was there where he honed his skills with the most prolific comics in the business, such as Sebastian Maniscalco, Chris D’leia, and Whitney Cummins. In January 2010, he was selected to perform in the CBS Multicultural Diversity Showcase, where he was one of 12 selected from a pool of 5,000 applicants. In the summer of 2010, he appeared in SI TV’s new show “Latino 101″ and in the movie “Marmaduke” with Owen Wilson and George Lopez. Francisco Ramos is now a paid regular at the major comedy clubs in Los Angeles such as the World Famous Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Improvs, and Ice House. He continues to work for some of the best comics today such as Sebastian Maniscalco, Al Madrigal, Steve Rannazzisi, and Ian Edwards, to name a few.
